Stretcher bars are also called as stretcher strips. These are mainly used by art students or artists and sometimes even by small scale embroiders on which they can mount the canvas or cloth tightly. It is actually a wood frame with corners neatly finished. Anyone with little carpentry skills can make their own frame and stretch a canvas over it. While stretching the canvas, care should be taken and in the end the canvas should be very taut. Pre cut, ready to assemble, stretcher bars, can be bought from art supplies stores. There are large sizes, custom made stretched canvases also available. You can buy 100% cotton canvas or hemp, or linen stretched canvas which has been given a double coat of acrylic primer. The pre stretched canvas is available in number of sizes. There are also shaped canvases with rectangular being the most popular. Other shapes commonly available are triangle, circular, and square.
For carrying your artwork around, every art student needs to have a portfolio case. These cases are usually zippered ones. Mostly portfolio cases are available in large sizes. A portfolio case should be carefully selected as this will carry the first impression of your work when you show it to clients or employers.

Till your fifth month, an expectant mother can actually survive on her previous clothes but after that she has to buy maternity clothes to last her through the pregnancy. For petite frames, choosing maternity wear involves much searching as there are few options to choose from. Finding maternity wear for normal sizes is easy but it is difficult to find good styling in petite maternity clothes. But one can find cool and stylish maternity and nursing clothes. It is also important to find a single maternity evening dress for few occasions. This dress could be a long one instead of a short one.
Nursing clothes require arrangements for breast feeding. Normally two piece clothing or front open clothes can pass off as nursing clothes. These basically have zippers, buttons in the front part which aids in breast feeding. Mostly the fabric should have a small amount of stretch. Cottons are best fabric as the fabric should be breathable too. Tank tops, ponchos, long sleeved tops, or cross over style tops work well for nursing mothers. Most tops have two layers, where the upper layer can be dropped once the baby has latched on to the breast. Most mothers do not want to spend on exclusive nursing clothes as they feel it is a waste of money. They want to go for trendy, cool styles which they can even use later.

I remember that as a teenager I just did not know what to wear. My family were not that well off so I did not have that many shops to choose from. I tended to avoid anything too grown up like women`s shoes, handbags, scarves or cardigans and try to get something that was more trendy. The problem was that the fashions changed quickly and I was only allowed to get new clothes when mine wore out. I made the mistake of getting something which I thought was trendy in the teen clothing range rather than buying some classic items such as a good pair of jeans and some plain t-shirts. I thought I looked cool but looking back, I am sure that I did not! I guess I have learned from those mistakes now and am much better at picking things which will take me through several seasons and also should not go out of fashion too quickly. I try to keep colours similar so that I can mix and match to prevent me from getting bored of a particular outfit and I pay for quality items which will last. I have also discovered how important a good shoe is and how useful handbags are!
