I am just off to buy a gel pack

Jul 10

I am just off to the chemist in a minute to buy a gel pack. My husband injured his knee yesterday and I am not really sure how ? he sort of twisted it somehow. It isn’t bad enough for him to go to the doctors but it is bad enough for him to moan all of the time ? you know what some men can be like! I am hoping that if I get him a knee wrap then it might be enough to stop him complaining anyway. He was awake in the night with it, but does not like taking pain killers and so I am hoping that this will help him get some sleep tonight and then I will get some as well! It was really hard to try to sleep with someone tossing and turning next to me and moaning and groaning as well! I tried to encourage him to go downstairs, saying that walking about the house or watching some TV which might have helped and would certainly have helped me to get some sleep! Unfortunately he did not like that idea. I just hope that the colpac will help and we can both sleep a lot better tonight.

The Best Birthday Gift

Jul 10

Posted: under Technology.

I am trying to decide what to buy my little sister for her birthday. She has just got her first cell phone and I think that it would nice to give her some phone accessories as I am sure she would like them. I am having a job knowing exactly what to choose though. I know that cell phone chargers are always useful but they are not that exciting and I know that she has one already. She is better at looking after things than me and so is likely to not lose them like I always seem to do! I think that she would probably prefer a case but there are so many cell phone cases to choose from that it can be hard to know exactly which one will be the best. Maybe if I get her several she will be able to change them over depending on which she feels like having on and it will also mean that she can choose her best that way. I think that I will get one plain one and one sparkly one so that she can use one for school and the other for going out with her friends.

Kitting Out My Games Room

Jul 10

Posted: under Games.

I have been looking around for a few new things for my games room. We really need to replace our old pool table and I have been looking at the cheap pool tables but am not sure whether they are such a good idea. I am wondering whether it is more sensible to get a dearer one which might give us better value for money. The last one that we bought was a cheap one and it didn’t last that long. I wonder whether I should try to get a dearer one and hope that will mean that it lasts longer or whether I should just get a cheap one and assume that it will not last but it doesn’t matter because I can afford to replace it. It is rather a difficult problem to solve really and I think that unless I buy a more expensive table I will never know. Perhaps I will just get one of the bumper pool tables that I have seen and see what they are like. I might also get one of the shuffleboards that I have seen as I think that it will be great fun.

Cookie Gifts

Jul 06

Posted: under Shopping.

I love my food and my best ever gift was a gourmet food basket which I got form my parents for Christmas. It had a lovely selection of chocolates, cookies, crackers, nuts, fruit and all sorts of other delicious things. It got me to thinking that it might be nice to make that sort of gift for other people as well. I have a friend who just loves cookies and I wondered whether gourmet cookies gifts would be good for her. I think I will try her with one and see what she thinks of it and whether she would like more of the same in the future, I am sure she will be honest with me as she normally is. I just have to decide which of the selection to buy her as I know that she likes all types of cookies. I could get a selection but the gourmet chocolate chip cookies really look the most delicious to me and so I think I might get her those and hope that I am around when she opens them so that I can try one, or two, or three……!

How to Get the Best

Posted: under software.

There is so much staffing software in the market at the moment that it can be really hard to know which probably, is the best one to choose from…. As I am looking at the moment, I have decided that I need to narrow down the list a bit. Firstly, I have decided to write a list of the features that I need in my recruitment software and then I can discard those which do not fit in with these features. I also like to use small local companies because I like to support small local businesses. I am a small business myself and I appreciate it when other local companies work together with me or help me out and I also think that it is great to put my money back into my local area. This should help the local economy to thrive even in hard times like we are having at the moment. I now have only a few applicant tracking software choices and so that means that I now need to try the demo versions and I should be close to making a decision. I like trying out new things and so this should be great fun.
