Easy Steps for Delivering Flowers Out of State

Posted: December 27th, 2010 under people.

Today, from Boston to Bangor, flower delivery couldn’t be simpler. But it wasn’t always this easy.
Back in the olden days, if you wanted to gift that special someone fresh flowers you had to find the flowers yourself, making sure they weren’t all bug infested or weather worn, harvest them and hand deliver them. Mind you, your choices would have been limited to the flowers that were native to the area only and if it was winter, well, your wish to deliver flowers would be just that, wishful thinking. As much as some would like you to believe that “It’s the thought that counts.”, how many of us ever score brownie points with ANYBODY by just telling them, “Well, yesterday I thought about sending you flowers. Didn’t actually do it, but I thought about it.”?
But today, even with the import of non native flowers, winters are still just as cold and snowy, and not conducive to being able to harvest and deliver flowers. Even if you live in New Jersey, you can easily deliver flowers to that special someone in New England, and not even have to brave the brisk winter weather to do so.
There are three easy ways to deliver any kind of flowers, regardless of weather or season:

  • Visit your local florist

Nowadays, with the advent of cellular telephones as well as internet access via cell phones, PDA’s and laptop computers, you can even place your order while commuting on the train or sitting in the waiting room of your doctor’s office. So, not only can you make your special someone’s day the best of their week, but you can also make productive use of otherwise wasted downtime. That’s like double prizes!
By simply contacting a florist, whether in person, by telephone or on the internet, you have unlimited choices when you want flowers delivered regardless where you live. From the standard roses, carnations, lilies and mums, to the more fancy, even exotic, gladiolas, bird-of-paradise, jack in the pulpit and a multitude of orchid varieties, you don’t have to worry about bugs, weather or season at all. You can rest assured that the specific flowers you choose will be fresh, healthy and beautiful when they are delivered, even in the dead of those wonderful, white winters.
Now, with all those worries off your mind and so much time freed up from having to harvest and deliver them yourself, all you have to do is find the perfect wording for the enclosed message card.
I need Serano DeBergiac for that, but I’m sure you’ll do just fine on your own.
