Poems for Everyone

Jul 08

Posted: under arts.

I have always been a bit of a poet. It started when I was teenager and I would write song words and things like that in order to express my feelings. I have always liked writing poetry as well although I have less time to do it now than I used to. It used to be something that I loved doing at school in English class. Many others despised it and I guess that it is something that you either have a talent for or not. I have recently started writing poems for the greeting cards that I send to people. I buy a blank card and then put in a poem that I have written. I did some grandparent poems recently which went down really well and when it was the vicar?s birthday I made up some pastor poems which actually got read out in church, which was quite funny. I do sometimes make them humorous, which this one was and so it was a lot of fun. I am currently writing a family reunion poem as I am organizing one and would like to use it on the invite. I think of it as way of putting my own stamp on things and people really seem to appreciate it.

While stretching the canvas, care should be taken and in the end the canvas should be very taut. Pre cut, ready to assemble, stretcher bars, can be bought from art supplies stores. There are large sizes, custom made stretched canvases also available. You can buy 100% cotton canvas or hemp, or linen stretched canvas which has been given a double coat of acrylic primer. For carrying your artwork around, every art student needs to have a portfolio case. These cases are usually zippered ones. Mostly portfolio cases are available in large sizes. A portfolio case should be carefully selected as this will carry the first impression of your work when you show it to clients or employers.
