It can be a pain in the butt to start doing a little research on eating healthy for both you and your family, but the few hours spent finding recipes for a better life will add years to the lives of everyone involved. Whether it?s Australian apricots or English cashews, the whole family can benefit from the natural vitamins and nutrients of a diet that is rich in fruits and nuts.

There is a reason why many snack mixes are made from dried fruit and nuts. They give a great amount of energy to the body in a natural and healthy way. Fruits contain the natural sugar that our bodies need when we exert a lot of energy or exercise our cardio systems. Nuts give us a great amount of protein so we don?t have to get it from less healthy choices like red meat. Buy a box or two of bulk nuts and keep them around the house for your family to enjoy and they will become healthier people.

If you are having a hard time getting your family to eat healthier things, you might have to sweeten the deal. Dried fruits like glazed apricots will still be good for you, but a little sweeter so your kids will actually eat them.
